If you’ve upgraded your 2003-2008 350Z to a return fuel system because you’ve added forced induction and have been left feeling out with the advancements to the 370Z\G37 upgrade offerings, cry no longer! As a shop having to work around the factory fuel pump assembly on the Z33, it makes it difficult to use a Walbro 450 series fuel pump in the factory assembly. What’s worse is the fuel pump outlet grommets fail\blow out and this can lead to fuel pressure drop, leaving you stranded, or worse a blown motor from running too lean. You’re also left “stuck” running the built in paper fuel filter that by now is ages old, dirty, and unreplaceable unless you buy a new assembly.

Say goodbye to this troublesome grommet that installs on the fuel pump outlet and inlet of the 350Z FP assembly
Thanks to the new CJM Z34 retro fit hose, you can now run a 370Z style fuel system that has an external fuel filter (Aeromotive Micro Glass) and the new line you run will serve as the main feed line to the engine and the original factory line will serve as the return. We’ve been able to adapt a 370Z CJM S1 RFS to the 350Z with the addition of two AN fittings that go between the first feed line coming off the pump side and fuel filter. Our forced induction flex fuel kit can be incorporated in this portion of the line or up closer to the engine in either the feed or return side to best fit your application. To mount the fuel filter from the 370Z kit we drilled and tapped 6mx1.0 threads into the body to use the CJM bracket which was a breeze to do with the proper tools. The CJM 4-way fuel tap that is included with the RFS was installed on the passenger side of the factory fuel rail. The other part that we have not talked about it is the ability to run the CJM Billet Hat, we install these mandatory, we find that the factory plastic top hats do not allow for adequate fuel pump gauge wiring and the plastic is flimsy and breaks from the metal posts.
You will need to source a 2009+ genuine Nissan\Aisin G37 fuel pump assembly (part numberĀ 17040-1NC0C) so that it fits your 350Z fuel tank. Aftermarket fuel pump assemblies will NOT work, the molded plastic housings are different. Since the assmebly will me modified extensively, you can source a good used assembly. A new assembly would techincally be a waste since the fuel filter housing will be cut to make the Walbro 450 series fuel pump to fit. We have videos on our YouTube channel on how to do this all. We stock all of the parts above and have links to the products on our site. We also provide installation services, so you can have us perform the work at our shop on the vehicle or you can also ship us your assembly for modification and ship back to you.

The hose and it’s adapter that make it possible
