{"id":101,"date":"2010-03-22T18:45:17","date_gmt":"2010-03-23T01:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/specialtyz.com\/blog\/?p=101"},"modified":"2013-09-15T15:19:14","modified_gmt":"2013-09-15T22:19:14","slug":"back-to-z","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.specialtyz.com\/?p=101","title":{"rendered":"Back to Z"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The last 6+ months have been hectic for me to say the least.\u00a0 Health issues, work, and personal matters take priority when it comes to the Z.\u00a0 My Z32 was down for over a year (Oct 08) and I was anxious to get it back on the road before my surgery.\u00a0 I was worried that if I didn&#8217;t get to it before then (Dec 09) I may never have a chance to work on it again if something happened in surgery.\u00a0 I was told I could have been paralyzed and\\or worse.\u00a0\u00a0 My current Z32 didn&#8217;t and doesn&#8217;t have anything wild as some may think.\u00a0 I wanted something tame on the street but with enough gitty up and go to get the job done.\u00a0 In a time and financial crunch I got it back together with the help of some friends and my fiancee.\u00a0 Knowing it was running before I went in for surgery was a big load off my back.\u00a0 I could peacefully rest knowing it was running and safe in my own garage at home.\u00a0 This past weekend I did some data-logging for a prototype part and since it was strapped down decided to tune it for 91 octane.\u00a0 This was also a good baseline for when I upgrade to larger intercoolers &amp; piping.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/specialtyz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/szseb1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-105\" title=\"My child's heart &amp; soul\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/specialtyz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/szseb1.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.specialtyz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/szseb1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/blog.specialtyz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/szseb1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t upgrade much this last time the VG30DETT was out, but just enough for some small power upgrades and great reliability.\u00a0 It currently has:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stock Block\\Ported Heads<\/li>\n<li>Custom regrind camshafts<\/li>\n<li>JWT Sport 500s<\/li>\n<li>MS Manifolds<\/li>\n<li>SZ Turbo Inlet Piping (replaces accordion hose)<\/li>\n<li>Old School Nismo 555cc Injectors<\/li>\n<li>SZ Built Automagic Stage Race w\\ triple plate converter &amp; SZ Flex Plate (I like the auto)<\/li>\n<li>BDE Engine Mounts (In case the bigger turbo bug gets me)<\/li>\n<li>Full SZ 3&#8243; SS Exhaust (Turbos-all the way back)<\/li>\n<li>Z1 Larger TBs (For when the time came for larger piping &amp;
